Winter Camp 2007

Troop 828 Scouts, Adult Leaders and Parents:
Time is running out to register for Winter Camp #22 at Camp Strake. You need to
commit to going before September 14 and secure your spot with a $50 deposit. The
troop will only reserve enough spots for scouts who commit to going by email,
phone or in person at the September 10 meeting.
Repeat - the deadline for committing to Winter Camp is September 14. Our troop
registration form will be mailed to SHAC at noon, September 14.
Winter Camp is December 26-31. The Sam Houston Area Council offers a great
camping program, good food, and some of the best merit badge classes to be had
anywhere. Last year over 850 scouts had the opportunity to choose from nearly 80
different merit badge classes from /Archery/ to /Woodworking/. Troop 828 scouts
earned over 70 badges.
If you’re on the path to Eagle this Winter Camp is the place to earn that
hard-to-get Eagle required merit badge you need. The camping is great too.
Experience pleasantly cool (maybe very cool) weather --- enjoy fun group
activities, games and contests --- and meet scouts from all over the Houston
area and beyond.
Winter Camp runs from Wednesday, December 26 to
Monday, December 31.
To reserve your spot you need to –
 | let Mr. Carey or Ms. Bolen know by email or phone that you want to go to Winter Camp on September 10th |
| make a $50 deposit to Ms. Bolen before September 14, 2007 or soon thereafter |
| don't make the commitment unless you really intend to go - registration fees are non-refundable |
| pay the balance of $140.00 to Ms. Bolen before November 2, 2007 |

It’s time for Winter Camp #22 at Camp
Strake.
OK – Winter Camp is actually December 26-31 but now is the time to
register to insure you have a spot.
If you’ve gone to Winter Camp in the past you know that the Sam Houston
Area Council offers a great camping program, good food, and some of the
