Tomahawk District Spring Camporee - This District camping activity is designed to give new Scouts as well as seasoned Scouts an opportunity to experience the traditional values of Scouting as well as enjoy a challenge. With more than twenty other participating troops, we will take on activities that focus on traditional Scout skills taught around the world. In addition, there will also be a best campsite award as well as a cooking competition Saturday evening.  The evening program will include a campfire as well as the Order of the Arrow (OA) callout for those Scouts elected within their troop.  We will have several called out as they were elected last December.  There will also be an opportunity for current Ordeal members who were inducted by June 2006 to attain Brotherhood membership.

The Spring Camporee will be held at the Bovay Scout Ranch located near Navasota, Texas.  The emergency contact number is 936-825-4120.

From Houston, take Hwy. 290 northwest heading towards Hempstead. Just before reaching Hempstead, head north approximately sixteen (16) miles on Hwy 6  towards College Station. Turn right on CR317, travel to the end of the road through the camp gate and look for the Duke Energy Camporee site.  From there, a staff member will direct you to the troop's campsite. It's about an hour and a half drive from Houston.
