| Where: Pecan Park Retreat (about six miles east of San Marcos off Hwy 80). About 170 miles from Sugar Land via TX 99, then I-10 West to the second Luling exit (Hwy 80). http://www.pecanparkretreat.com/ |

| Who attends: All Scouts led by the Senior Patrol Leader, Assistant Senior Patrol Leaders, Patrol Leaders and Troop Guides. |

| We need at least five to seven ASM's and/or Troop Committee members for transportation and supervision on the river, with one to pull the trailer!!! |

| Prerequisite: Take the scheduled troop swim test on May 23 to determine swimming ability level. This is also required for those going to summer camp. |

| Preparation: Normal weekend camping gear, swim trunks or shorts and t-shirt, river shoes if you have them or tennis shoes, hat, sunscreen, water bottle, sack supper for Friday evening travel, prepared lunch for Saturday (may be prepared Saturday morning from purchased patrol food). |

| Agenda: Friday night - Set up camp. Saturday - Breakfast and cleanup, pack for canoeing with prepared lunch, canoe safety instruction and pfd/paddle fitting, travel to San Marcos for put in at Sewell Park (next to the Texas State University campus), canoe until lunch, lunch, finish canoe trip by mid-afternoon, take out at Pecan Park, free time or work on advancement requirements, prepare dinner, campfire. Sunday - Breakfast and cleanup, interfaith service, break camp, return to St. Lawrence. |
