This trip had to be cancelled:  Lack of vehicles to pull the trailer or otherwise transport the gear, and too few adults.  We hope to roll the activities that were planned for this trip into the Lost Pines trip in December.

There's much fun to be had at this orienteering and geocaching campout!  Come enhance your skills and explore the backwoods of Bastrop State Park!  There is a 3-mile orienteering course as well as several caches to be found with our GPS's.  Our campout agenda will include both, as well as ample free time to work on rank requirements.

The park is a 145-mile drive and is adjacent to Bastrop, TX.  Travel is I-10 to Columbus, then US 71 to Bastrop.

Gather at St. Laurence on Friday, September 22, at 5 p.m.  Depart by 5:45 p.m.

Cost is $7 (for state park fees and gas to pull the trailer), payable by check at the September 18 troop meeting.  Patrols need to plan menus.

Return is Sunday, September 24, by 11:30 a.m.
