Please forward this to your Troops. We are looking for an additional 170 Scouts to fill the 600 capacity. EVERY Scout will fly and any time remaining will allow adults to fly. There will be tremendous Air Force support from 3 multi starred Generals as well as from Air Force personnel and astronauts. There are plenty of aircraft and instructors. They also have a special evening presentation the boys will enjoy. Please contact Debbie Cherry below for more information. This is one Merit Badge not many boys get to earn. Let’s give them the opportunity.

We are ready for take off.  Please make sure your seat belts are fastened, seat backs are in the upright positions, and all carry-on items are properly stowed.

I have just returned from Hondo where I attended a planning meeting for Aviation Merit Badge 2006.  Things are falling into place very nicely.  I’d like to mention that a local hobby shop has agreed to set up a trading post to sell airplane models at a reasonable price to the scouts.  Also, you may want to remind everyone to bring a camera as there may be some surprise guests attending.

All documents must be filed with your council office.  The pilot documents “page 2 of the flying permit” will be filed by me the first week of March as a master package.  Your council office is aware of this.  On page 2 of the flying permit please write See Master packet.

Informed consent agreement must be signed by both parents, attached to the tour permit with the flying permit and turned in to your council office.

-         Please bring blue merit badge cards for each scout.

 

Please fill out each card with the scouts’ name.

To make the paper work easier for us please include the merit badge counselors name, address and requirements completed.

-         Please bring your completed EAA registration forms filled out in Black ink and capitol letters.

Each scout will surrender it to the pilot before boarding the airplane.  It is your boarding ticket.  Without it you will NOT be able to fly.

A few of you have not received these forms yet.  I am going to the post office tomorrow to mail them out.

-         Please bring a class 1 health form for everyone.

We will have a first aid station set up in the club house at the silver hanger.  To be treated a health must be turned in when you arrive Friday night at check in or Saturday morning at check in.
