Where: We'll camp at Galveston Island State Park. The fishing boat leaves from Pier 19 in Galveston at 1:30pm Saturday.
Departing St. Laurence: (Revised times:) Gather at 6:00pm and depart at 6:30pm Friday October 7
Returning to St. Laurence: Late morning Sunday October 9
Cost: Scouts age 12 and under: $20. All others: $25.
Fishing facts: All tackle and squid bait furnished. Food and drinks are available for a price on the boat.

Directions to Galveston Island State Park: The park can be reached from Interstate 45 by exiting right onto 61st Street and traveling south on 61st Street to its intersection with Seawall Boulevard and then right (west) on Seawall (FM 3005) 10 miles to the park entrance.
Directions to Galveston Party Boats: Galveston Party Boats is located back at Pier 19 in Galveston. From Houston, travel South on Interstate 45 (Gulf Freeway) to Galveston. Upon crossing the Causeway, exit Harborside Drive. Turn left onto Harborside, and continue to Downtown Galveston. From Harborside, enter at 17th Street.
Fishing-without-camping option: Those who wish to fish but not camp are allowed to do so. The cost is the same. (Those who camp will cook by patrol, and pay for meals by patrol.) If you're not camping, you must arrive at Pier 19 by 1:00pm Saturday in order to join us on the fishing boat.
Bring: Suntan lotion, a hat, money for snacks and drinks.
Fishing licenses: Texas requires a fishing license for most people who are 17 or older, but not for those under age 17. See the details here: Texas Parks and Wildlife fishing license and packages. You can buy a license at Academy and similar locations. A one-day salt-water license is $16; a September-August all-water license is $38. Other pricing options are available.
