Mrs. Cart says (May 17):

There will be a meeting for all parents tonight whose scouts are attending Sid Richardson Summer Camp.  The meeting will take place during the troop meeting and will cover:

(1)  Transportation details and cost - we need to pay for that tonight
(2)  Health Forms - you can turn in your forms or find out what your son needs
(3)  Packing Lists
(4)  Merit Badge Registration update
(5)  Any questions you may have
(6)  Pre-Camp Swim Test sign up (if you still need to attend)
(7)  Buying or ordering Troop T-shirts, neckerchief, etc.

Everyone should be paid in full for summer camp.  If not, please handle that tonight.

Thanks,
Dana Cart

Mrs. Cart says (May 9):

We are having SWIM PRE-TESTS for BOY SCOUT SUMMER CAMP this Friday May 14 and also Friday May 21 at 6:30 for 30 - 40 minutes each evening.  There will be room for about a total of about 45 boys and adult leaders, split between the two sessions.  Each boy will bring $1.00, or a check made out to the Ft. Bend YMCA.  We will provide you with a copy of the instructor's current YMCA lifeguard certification.  You or another adult will bring a check-off list of the boys who are attending, which our instructor will sign off on as each boy passes the requirements.

I have attached a Guest Waiver (Word document) which each parent or guardian needs to sign, and which each boy is to bring with them along with their $1.00 fee.

You MUST sign up either by emailing me OR at the Scout meeting May 10 as to which night you will attend. You only need to attend ONE date.  This will be held at the Fort Bend YMCA on Cartwright Rd. between Dulles and Murphy Rd.

If you have any questions, please either let me or John Rankin know.  If any adult leader going to camp plans to swim then they should be tested as well.

Thanks,
Dana Cart

The Chisholm Trail Leader Guide has now been posted.

Medical Forms: All scouts are required to have a Class 2 Medical Form (PDF) completed by parents and supported by a medical evaluation within the last 36 months (Doctor signature required).  For those scouts who attended last year's summer camp, forms are already on file.  Adults under 40 have the same requirements as scouts.  Adults over 40 must have a medical exam within the last 12 months and use a Class 3 Medical Form (PDF).  Please turn in medical forms to Jim Collins on May 17th.

Adults going to summer camp must complete VIRTUS training before going to camp.
