Troop 828 held its semi-annual Court of Honor on Saturday,
October 23, 2004.
Congratulations, scouts, on your fine achievements over the
past six or seven months. Your parents and your scout leaders are very
proud of you!
The Court of Honor began with the traditional lighting of
the candles symbolizing the various ranks in Boy Scouting:
Approximately 12 Tenderfoot, 9 Second Class, 10 First
Class, 10 Star, and 4 Life ranks were awarded. Nearly a dozen scouts,
having worked especially hard over the past six or seven months, were awarded
two ranks! And one Eagle scout was awarded his fourth Eagle Palm;
he has received a Bronze, a Gold, a Silver, and now a second Bronze Palm!
Here are pictures of the scouts getting their new rank badges:

The scouts who hiked on the Double H Ranch in the summer
were honored, our new Senior Patrol leader was sworn in, and all the scouts who
hold leadership positions in the troop gathered for a photograph:

As part of the Court Honor, we
had a BBQ lunch and we held the Second Annual Troop 828 Cobbler Cook-off, a
contest among the patrols. Delicious!
