New: The classroom session of the swimming merit badge will be held again on Wednesday, May 28th in room A/B at St. Laurence from 6:30 till 8:00pm. All of the out of water requirements, except for the CPR, will be covered. If you attended the May 15 classroom session, you do not need to attend on May 28.
New: For those scouts who attended the Swimming Merit Badge sessions, there will be CPR training in a classroom session at the church, June 9, 6:30-8:30pm.
Swimming requirements for Second Class, First Class, and the Swimming Merit Badge can be completed in April and May!

Third meeting: Thursday, May 1, at Sweetwater Country Club (4400 Palm Royale Boulevard) indoor swimming pool, 5:30pm-7:30pm. Those who have not already done so, wear long pants and a belt over your swimsuit, and a long-sleeve shirt. The pants and shirt should be of a tight weave so they'll hold air when tied off. Jeans won't work very well. Wear socks and shoes that your parents don't mind your getting wet. $3 per boy. Bring towel and (optionally) goggles.

The cost of this event is $3.00 per boy. There is no charge for families
that are members of the Country Club. I will accept cash, check, or membership
numbers.
Directions to the indoor pool:
Park in the main parking lot and go into the Athletic building by the tennis
courts.
Go up the stairs and personnel at the desk inside will direct you to the inside
pool.
Please limit the extra children you bring to this program.

Classes will be offered by Mark Hotze, Cathy Hotze, and Jeff Brienen.
Scouts must attend all sessions to get the merit badge. Scouts should wear a swim suit, a T-shirt, and shoes that can get wet. Bring a towel and (optionally) goggles.
This is a good badge to get, especially if you're going to summer camp.
