[Watch this space for bulletins from the Senior Patrol Leader and the Patrol Leaders Council.]

Scouts, during the first two troop meetings in May, we will learn bike safety and try a bicycle course competition (by patrol) in the church parking lot ahead of the May 13 outing at Brazos Bend. (Bring Your Bikes!!!)  Water safety and orientation to canoe handling and packing will take up the next two meetings.  This will help us get ready for the June 2-4 canoe trip  So, be sure to come to the meetings! We will also have fun games (Capture the Flag, Dodge Ball, Fan It).  Details are shown in the May Meeting Plan below.

In review, last month we progressed with planned troop meeting programs and have accomplished a lot - like passing requirements in Astronomy MB and learning how to be safe with guns. You definitely have a PLC that is working for a better troop program.

We need your help, though, in getting more Scout input and patrol participation.  Patrols should meet every two weeks to share information and help your patrol leader understand what interests you have and that he needs to represent at the PLC meetings.

Yours in Scouting,

Charlie H. - SPL
